Show HN: I got tired of travel spreadsheets so I made a travel planner app (www.wherewhen.cc)

Hey everyone! I couldn't find an app to organize trips that gave me all the info I wanted to schedule each stop per day, with travel times, leeway, etc, so I made Wherewhen.

The basic differentiator is that you can set various constraints (e.g. "I want to spend 2 hours in the park", or "I have a dinner reservation at 6"), and Wherewhen will automatically adjust the rest of the times to tell you when to go/leave each place, including travel.

I've tried to make it mobile-friendly but travel planning is pretty complicated and it's a bit clunky on mobile.

Feedback is appreciated!

This looks very nice. Any way to self-host it? I want my traveling data to be kept private but still use the software.p

Not right now, sorry!

FYI, I have the exact same comment! Thanks.

Looks really clean. Did you use an AI software for the design? Looks nice!

Yes, I used Claude Design. I'm not amazed by the colours, because they look LLMy, but it's much better than anything I could do by hand.

Same experience here, GrokBot/Cursor got me 80% there but they do have their own "look". I had Grokbot make a small, open-source layout sketcher for roughing out page structure before handing it to an AI tool, which helped me get something less generic: [layout-sketcher.vercel.app](https://layout-sketcher.vercel.app/) (code: [github.com/layout-sketcher](https://github.com/jojopdmf-a11y/layout-sketcher)). Might be useful if you rework the mobile view. Nice work on the constraint-based scheduling, by the way.
