Great, identity politics. Didn't watch the ad, it's probably bad. But what's more lazy than jumping on the 'white guy' insulting bandwagon?

The article, which is more of an angry rant, only exists because the author believes someone stole his work and comes out at the end. I wish I could have the time I spent reading it back.

Watch it, it's funny. The post is describing what it looks like to them. No need to argue.

I read some hilarious stories where people creating ads had to pick race and sex for the characters. Each possible configuration had a laundry list of things some people would find offensive.

In this ad the white guy is offended by his colored coworkers success then uses copilot to steal his thunder and everyone worships him, specially the woman.

Pretty much the most offensive configuration... Or no wait, it could have been a black guy stealing from a white one! Or would you prefer a woman stealing a man's job?

In one story the folder got the same cover with 3 happy employees on the front but they replaced the elderly black guy with an young Asian woman. This was how people told the difference between the editions so everyone noticed and was forced to think about it.

You better work hard or you end up like James. Oh, I thought he died!

What if we didn't play the game to vilify a specific name ? What was done with the name Karen was disgusting enough to not be done again with Kyle

(And before any comment: I'm called Kyle, I don't know anyone named Kyle, it's at best a very uncommon name in my country)

The ad is pretty silly, but where exactly does Kyle direct Copilot to steal Daniel's work? To, as the writer put it "literally copy it"? All he did was ask for Copilot to improve his charts. The author's looseness with the facts made me stop reading.
