Ask HN: Most recent post [dead] in seconds
1 points by nizarmah •
Hey! I'd like help knowing what I did wrong.

I just learned what dead posts are. I'm also learning to self-promote less, 90/10 split.

Is there anything wrong with the post itself?

Disclaimer, I posted it on LinkedIn, but with "I wrote more about the challenges building this on HackerNews. <link>"

I emailed the mods a week ago. But I'm guessing their busy. So I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!!

It's like 9 days old. I misunderstood it was only 1 or 2 days ago.

Are you using AI to translate your text? There are some automatic and manual filters, and sometimes they have false positives.

Are you or your friend lawyers? (Or do you have another friend/acquaintance that is a lawyer an took a look?)

There is an option to translate the UI to English. I was going to suggest to add in the English mode the autotranlation for the titles of the laws (show the original mane in Arabic and also a autotranslation into English), but I'm not sure how many people that is interested in Lebanon legislation does not understand Arabic. (Perhaps someone doing comparative legislation in a few assorted countries???)

[Form a few searches in Google...] Would it be useful to add a French translation too?

I wasn't sure I was allowed to share the link. Thank you though!

I am using AI to translate to english, but the Arabic/French translations aren't mine. The english translations are only for visibility/search/SEO.

My lawyer friend is helping. A lot of lawyer friends of friends are using it now, and giving feedback.

You're right, most interested will know Arabic. So I made it the default. The english version is now under /en.

You're right a french translation might help! Thank you so much, I'll give it a try.
