Ask HN: Did crates.io stop processing new crate publishes?
1 points by davvid •
For example https://crates.io/crates/saphyr-parser/0.3.2/code was recently published (without any client-side errors) but crates.io says:

The source code for this version is not available yet.

Archives are built shortly after a version is published.
This usually only takes a few seconds, so please try again in a couple of minutes.

I've never seen this error before. The same can be seen in this just-published crate from 12 minutes ago. It displays the same message: https://crates.io/crates/skia-bindings/0.156.0/code

Does anyone know what's going on?

This is the background worker for the new source viewer falling behind. It has to process the newly published .crate file into a seekable zip archive. Nothing is broken, it usually just lags an hour or so under load.

We ran into a related issue too: uploads succeeded, but Cargo couldn't find the new versions in the index.

It now looks like it has been fixed. They're visible now.
