Ask HN: What has been your favorite VPN provider?

I am looking for security, speed, reliability and anonymity.

Been using AirVPN for a while and I'm pretty happy with it. Every once in a while there is a web site that blocks me but those sites tend to block all VPN services so AirVPN is not necessarily unique or being singled-out in those instances.

Looks like a reseller.

I was happy with Mullvad as they really took the anonymity thing seriously (no account registration required, unlike most VPNs). Unfortunately I'm yet to find a suitable replacement, ever since the fiasco with one of their co-founders.

If anyone knows of a similar provider, which offers anonymous registration and supports connecting using just a Wireguard profile (no need for a dedicated client), please let me know. Thanks!

Nym, IVPN, and Obscura are what I would consider for you. IVPN is the most similar to Mullvad while Nym and Obscura make improvements on the traditional VPN.

We do a Two-Party VPN with Mullvad as the exit hop. You just need to sign up with us and we don't require emails.
